Safety & Covid-19

Newquay Drive-In is an open space environment that means you do not have to go anywhere overcrowded and is a great way to watch some super films in these difficult times.

Our number one priority is our guests’ and team's safety and wellbeing.

Our services are entirely contactless so please remember to do the following:
• Have your ticket printed or visible on your phone so that the steward can scan through your door window or windscreen.
• Book any food and drinks via our Virtual Diner. Full information in the Food and Drink section of our website.

Hand sanitiser stations will be placed outside/inside each toilet location, plus additional hand sanitisers around the venue. All staff will be fully aware of the appropriate safety procedures for maintaining the highest levels of hygiene. This includes regular hand washing, as well as the use of appropriate levels of PPE when preparing, serving, and delivering food and drinks. There will be constant cleaning of high touch areas.

Please do not attend if you, or any of your party, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or if you may have recently been exposed to the virus. If you need to exchange or refund your tickets, contact our box office at suppot@helmtickets.com.

Due to the current government restrictions that prevent people from being closer than 2m from someone who is not in their household, you should only come in the same car as other members of your household.

Watch the film from within your vehicle and/or using the 2 deckchairs provided. No additional seating outside your car is permitted.

Please stay in your parking bay unless:
• You must visit the toilets. A social distance of 2m must always be kept, and you are encouraged to wear a face mask.
• You are instructed to do so by a steward
• In the event of an emergency

You must practice social distancing at all times.

You must follow all guidelines in this statement, on our website, posted at the venue and issued by the Government and other authorities.

When you arrive, a menu will be placed under your windscreen wiper. This also has your parking bay number on it, which you will need when placing your order.

Feeling hungry?

Why not try our beef or vegetarian burgers and hot dogs? Cheese fries or nachos?

If you are thirsty we have freshly made milkshakes or coffee and soft drinks. And for the non-drivers, perhaps a cold beer?

Sorry no. Stewards will assign you a space depending on the size of your car upon arrival. Large cars, camper vans and SUV's might be positioned at the sides or back - but don’t worry, everyone will have a good view.

Absolutely! Thanks to our top of the range LED screen, you'll get a great view at any time of the day.

Of course! Should you require any assistance, just call 01872 510246 and a member of our team will be right over to help. Please don’t leave your car unless it is an emergency.

The screen is very large, and raised, so all cars will have a great view.

You can bring your own portable FM radio.

Unfortunately we don’t have any audio described or subtitled screenings at the moment. Please sign up to our newsletter for news.

If you arrive after the film has started we will make every attempt to park you at the back to avoid disturbing other guests. However this is not guaranteed.

Up to a max of 5 as long as they have a dedicated legal seat with seatbelt.

Due to social distancing rules we are asking everyone to stay in their cars unless going to the toilet, collecting food from your allocated delivery box or in case of emergency.

Only if there is an emergency. In the event you have to leave then either approach a Steward or call 01872 510246. You will then be directed off the site.

You can run your engine to preserve the battery, but please remember to turn off your lights! If you can't turn off your lights when the car is running, please bring your own FM radio.

Don’t worry! Please wait until the other cars have left. We have starters and a steward will come and get you going.

Please have all windows closed during admission. Once parked correctly in your bay, you're welcome to open your windows (and doors) on the drivers side.

We allow vehicles such as vans, campers, pick ups and SUV’s with no height restriction, but not lorries/trucks. You will be placed towards the back, or side, of the parking area. You will still have a good view.

For the comfort of all visitors we advise you not to run your engine for the entire film. You can periodically start you car, but please turn all lights off.  If you have daytime running lights, we ask you not to run your engine unless they are covered.

This is something we're working on and we hope to allow bikes in the future - please check back soon! Also please email us via our website.

Tickets are required for entry. If you haven't received your ticket by email, then please email support@helmtickets.com and one of the team will get back to you ASAP. (It’s worth checking your spam folder before getting in touch with us!)

Yes. We use this as a back-up verification in case there are any ticket problems, and also in the event we are required to use 'track and trace'. If you need to update your registration number before arriving please email support@helmtickets.com or call 01872 510246.

Yes, which will be regularly cleaned. Please maintain social distancing and use hand sanitiser provided before entering and leaving.

We will have an allocation of accessible toilets at the event.

Only if we consider that weather conditions unsafe, for example high winds.  We will endeavour to contact attendees using the e-mail addresses given at the time of booking. Please see ticket terms and conditions.

We will allow dogs, if they are quiet and well behaved. If you have to leave your car with your dog please talk to one of the stewards who will direct you to a safe place. Please adhere to social distancing rules and pick-up after your dog. Sorry Giraffes not allowed.

Sure! The Drive-In is fun for the whole family - just make sure they meet the film's age certification.

The best option is to pre-order food via our virtual diner, or as soon as you arrive to the event. See the Food & Drink section of the website. Note the diner closes 30 minutes before the end of the film. 

Sorry but due to licencing regulations all alcohol consumed on the site has to purchased on site. We have an on site bar via our virtual diner so beer, cider or wine can be delivered direct to your car.

Sorry no, we are a contactless venue. All food & drink purchases will be made online through our virtual diner.

If you want to. But why not choose something from our virtual diner? We have a great menu with food (vegetarian options) including sweets, drinks (beer, cider, wine, soft drinks, milkshakes) all delivered direct to your car.

Our team will bring your order straight from the kitchen. Everyone who has prepared and delivered your food will follow hygiene procedures.
